The heArt for Haiti fundraiser starts tomorrow with simultaneous art shows in five different towns on Friday, Jan 29 from 6-9 pm, and Saturday, Jan 30 from 12-3 pm. Many local artists have donated work to be sold at this fundraiser. Participating galleries include Rockwell Galleries in Wilton, Westport, New Canaan and Fairfield and Galleria d’Arte in Ridgefield. One hundred percent of the proceeds of art sales at this event will go to Save the Children. If you are looking for a way to help the people of Haiti, please come to one of these events. You'll be supporting Save the Children, and also can bring home a work of art.I have donated my painting Remembrance to the heART for Haiti fundraiser at Galleria d’Arte in Ridgefield. It is an original oil painting, 10 x 8" and seemed like an appropriate choice to remember the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
